Belgrade April 22, 2025. – In the beautiful environment of the “Jugoslovenska kinoteka” in Belgrade, the 9th birthday of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine was celebrated in front of numerous guests and friends of the editorial staff. As a special part of the event, twenty-three Diplomacy&Commerce awards for the year 2025 were awarded to individuals, companies and institutions that made an outstanding contribution to the economic, social and humanitarian development of Serbia.
Award winners were decided by an eminent jury composed of: Marko Čadež, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce; Vladimir Gak, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina; Brankica Janković, Commissioner for Protection of Equality; Tijana Palkovljević, manager of Matica Srpska Gallery; Igor Cherniševski, executive director of IAB Serbia; Stevan Ristić, Media Association, Milica Pražić, Association of Brewers of Serbia, Danijela Popović-Jurić, Red Communications and HRH Princess Ljubica Karađorđević.
The guests present at the opening of the event were addressed by Robert Čoban, director of the magazine “Diplomacy & Commerce”, who presented all the platforms on which the magazine operates as well as its regional coverage, HRH Princess Ljubica Karađorđević and Tatjana Macura, Minister without Portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
At the beginning of her presentation, Minister Tatjana Matsura thanked the editorial staff of the diplomatic magazine for persistently fostering the culture of dialogue, highlighting that it is a value that we need today more than ever.
“I am particularly proud to point out the fact that on occasions like this we increasingly meet strong, dedicated and visionary women who are conquering the areas of business, politics, media, culture and diplomacy. I believe that this is just the beginning of a strong trend, in which women will continue to walk a safe, upward path – towards equality, influence and changes that shape the world”, Minister Matsura said.
The following awards were given at the ceremony:
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the best socially responsible campaign was awarded to the Fitpass company and the Smart agency, the award was received by Boris Janačković, Fitpass and Jelena Zvekić, co-founder of the Smart agency. The winners were presented with the award by Mihailo Vesović, in front of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for support to cultural institutions and artists was awarded to AstraZeneca, the award was received on behalf of the company by Aleksandar Tripković, General Manager for Serbia, and the award was presented to him by Danijela Popović Jurić, RED Communications.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for humanitarian activity (company) was awarded to SBB for the project “Humanitarian Action – SBB Player of the Match“. On behalf of the company, Minja Jugović Janjić, director of marketing and communications of SBB, received the award, the award was presented to her by Svetlana Kostić from MK group and last year’s laureate.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for projects in the field of “green economy and sustainable development” was awarded to VipPa Group for the “VipPa EKO Parking Tower” project. Julian Graf Dracul, director and founder of VipPa Group, received the award, the award was presented to him by Vladimir Gak, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for business innovation in the company category was awarded to the company “OTP banka Srbija” for the project “OTP Junior card and OTP m-bank application for juniors“. On behalf of the company, the award was received by Ljubiša Egelja, director of the Marketing and Communications Department of OTP Bank Serbia, while Nada Filipović, EleveneS, presented the award to him.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for business innovation in the product category was awarded to Japan Tobacco International for the “Launch of PLOOM devices in Serbia” campaign, on behalf of JTI, the award was received by the marketing director for the Western Balkans, Nemanja Pucarević, while the award was presented to him by Igor Černiševski, the executive director of IAB Serbia and also a member of this year’s award jury.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for improving business conditions and the economic environment for small and medium-sized enterprises was awarded to UniCredit Bank for the “UniCredit for Serbia” campaign, the award was received by the Director of Identity and Communications, UniCredit Bank Svetlana Bunčić. While the award was presented to her by Gabriele Ingrosso from the Italian Embassy in Serbia.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the improvement of bilateral cooperation was awarded to the Babka Gallery from Kovačica, the award was received by Pavel Babka, and the award was presented by H.E. Michal Pavuk, Ambassador of Slovakia in Serbia.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for contribution to the development of the local community and civil society was awarded to the Public Enterprise Gold Gondola Zlatibor. The award was received by the general director of JP Gold Gondola Zlatibor, Bojana Božanić, while the award was presented by Milica Pražić from the Association of Brewers of Serbia.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the best relations with the media in the category of institutions was awarded to the Museum of the City of Belgrade, the award was received by the director of the Museum, Jelena Medaković. The award was presented to the winner by Marija Labović, director of TOS and laureate of the D&C Awards for 2024.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the best relations with the media in the category of embassies was awarded to the Embassy of Libya in Serbia. On behalf of the embassy, the award was received by H.E. Mohamed O. A. Ghalboun, ambassador of Libya in Belgrade, while Danijela Galov Vujević from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce presented him with the award.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the promotion of social activism was awarded to Heineken Serbia for the campaign “Heineken volunteers: Together we create a greener and cleaner community“. On behalf of the company, the award was received by Biljana Bobić Subin, while the award was presented to her by Violeta Jovanović from Naled.
The Diplomacy & Commerce award for the most professional personality in the media was awarded to journalist, television producer and presenter Minja MIletić, and the award was presented by Tijana Palkovljević Bugarski, manager of the Matica Srpska Gallery.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for the most successful socially responsible campaign on a global level awarded to Generali Osiguranje for the campaign “The Human Safety Net” was received on behalf of the company by Dragan Filipović, president of the Executive Board of Generali Osiguranje Srbija and Nataša Đurđević, director of the Directorate for Corporate Communications and program director of THSN in Serbia, the award was presented by HRH Princess Ljubica Karađorđević, member of this year’s award jury.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for improving digital literacy and education was presented to the company A1, for the #BetterOnline platform, and Predrag Đurković received it on behalf of the company. The award was presented to him by Željka Ćirić Jakovljević, UniCredit bank, laureate of D&C Awards 2024.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for excellence in catering in the category of coastal resorts went to the company Huma Kotor Bay Hotel & Villas, and the award was received by the member of the Board of Directors, Draško Trninić, while the award was presented to him by Milena Stevović, DHG Holding group, laureate of the D&C Awards 2024.
The special award of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine for excellence in hospitality in the category of mountain resorts was given to the Chalet Sofija company, Maja Radin received the award on behalf of the company, while the award was presented to her by Mihailo Vuković, Allegra Krstarenja, laureate of the D&C Awards 2024.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for the best luxury concierge and lifestyle management went to the company Quintessentially Group, the award was received by general manager Katarina Larisa Ham. The award was presented by Mihajlo Pavić, NewsMax Balkans.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for exceptional life achievement was presented to Hristivo Milosevic, the owner and founder of the Aleva company. The award was presented to him by the commissioner for the protection of equality, Brankica Janković.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for corporate security was presented to Prof. Dr. Dragan Trivan, for his contribution to the development of corporate security in Serbia. The award was presented to him by Slađana Sredojević from the Association of Banks of Serbia.
The special award of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine for the most successful greenfield investment in the region and the development of a new city was presented to the company Lustica Bay Montenegro, the award was received by sales director Ana Zloković. Bojana Knežević from AirSerbia, last year’s laureate, presented the award.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for networking “Miodrag Bogić” went to Nik Laković, Montenegro Sotheby’s International Realty, the award was presented to him by Ervin Pašanović, Adventis Real Estate Management Ltd, the previous year’s laureate, and Milka Bogić, Miodrag Bogić’s wife.
Diplomacy & Commerce magazine’s special award for women leaders in the field of communications was awarded to Marija Pasuljević, the award was presented to her by Dragan Nikolić, editor of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine.
The event was supported by the companies Fitpass, JTI, SBB, Heineken, Vinarija Todorović and Plantaže.
